Uni, Core, Essential or Premium: which sprint track will you choose?

A sprint track is a surface made of short, durable artificial turf designed for sleds, sprints, and functional exercises. The four series differ in markings and width:

  • Uni Sprint (€ 679 to € 749). White lane lines divide a width of 2 m into two lanes of 1 m, without numbers. For example, the Uni Sprinttrack green/white.
  • Core (€ 949 to € 1,550). A narrow track of 1 or 1.5 m with meter numbers integrated into the turf, ideal for a sled lane along a wall. For example, the Core 10 x 1 m black.
  • Essential (€ 1,219 to € 2,049). Tufted side lines and a START marking, available in widths of 1.33 or 2 m. For example, the Essential 10 x 2 m black.
  • Premium (€ 2,399). Features START, FINISH, meter numbers, and additional section lines. For example, the Premium track 10.4 x 2 m black.

What should you look out for?

Length

Measure the available length of your room, up to the first wall, rack or door. Our standard tracks are 10 m long, the Premium 10.4 m. Longer tracks go up to 15 m (Core), 20 m (Essential), 20.4 m (Premium) or 30 m (Uni Sprint).

Width

A 1 or 1.5 m track fits along a wall or between rigs. With 1.33 m you have a bit more space next to your sled. With 2 m you can train with two people side by side.

Marking

If you want to measure distances during sprints or running tests, choose meter numbers (Core, Premium). For sled work in a straight line, track lines or side lines are sufficient. The lines are tufted or woven into the grass, not painted, so they will not wear away under sleds and shoes.

Color and price

Anthracite costs more: the 10 x 1.33 m Essential costs € 1,349 in anthracite, and the 10 x 2 m version costs € 2,049. The Uni Sprint in black/white costs € 749, and the 10 x 1 m Core in red costs € 1,049. The Premium costs the same in all five colors.

Fiber

The short, strong polyethylene fibers provide grip and sliding properties for prowler and sled work. They are also comfortable for floor exercises. Furthermore, the Essential is water-permeable.

Showroom tip: do not place a wall, rack or equipment right behind the end of the track. Leave a clear run-out area so that nobody has to brake abruptly at full sprint. If there is a rubber sports floor next to the track, you can immediately see where the sprint zone ends and the strength zone begins.

Which sprint track for whom?

  • Home: a Uni Sprint if you have 10 m of free space, or a Core of 1 m along a wall.
  • PT studio: Core 1.5 m or Essential 1.33 m: wide enough for sled work with a single client, narrow enough to fit next to a rig. See fitness equipment for personal trainers.
  • Physiotherapy practice: distance markers help record distances during running tests and drills. More in fitness equipment for physiotherapists.
  • Hotel and corporate gym: an Essential or Premium of 2 m wide, allowing two people to use sleds simultaneously. If length is lacking, choose a short Core. See custom corporate fitness.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should a sprint track be?

For sled work and short accelerations, 10 m is sufficient, which is the standard length. If you want to run full sprints, choose a longer version.

What does a sprint track cost per square meter?

A Uni Sprint of 10 x 2 m costs approximately € 34 per m². A Premium track of 10.4 x 2 m, totaling 20.8 m², costs approximately € 115 per m². The difference lies primarily in the markings.

Can I use a sled on any track?

Yes. All four series are designed for sled and prowler work, sprints, and functional training.

Can a sprint track be customized?

Yes, Core tracks can be shortened to size, and other combinations of width and length are available upon request through a custom proposal.

Do you deliver and install the track?

Delivery in the Benelux is free, and you have a 30-day trial period. If you are outfitting a complete gym with flooring and tracks, you can expect installation to cost 10 to 15% of the total setup.

What warranty comes with a sprint track?

All tracks are by Martech, so you receive a 3-year warranty. If you want to see a track first, visit our showroom in Ranst or schedule an appointment.
