Home gym station, jungle gym, or cable tower: which strength station do you need?
The number of people training at the same time determines which type you should choose. There are three types:
- Home gym station (€ 3,750). A single frame and a single weight stack for your entire body: leg press, chest press, lat pulldown, low row, and cable exercises. For example, the Martech HG2510.
- Jungle gym (€ 5,495 to € 15,595). Multiple stations around a single frame, each with its own stack and a safety shield, ensuring no one has to wait for another person. For example, the Steelflex JG4000.
- Cable tower (€ 7,995 to € 9,995). A modular tower featuring a lat pulldown, low row, cable crossover, and adjustable cable stations. For example, the Marbo Midi Tower MP-T002 or the UpForm Mini Tower UR-T001.

What should you look out for?
Footprint plus usage zone
The dimensions of the frame do not represent the space you need. The HG2510 takes up 4.59 m², the JG2000 426 x 104 cm, and the JG4000 358 x 234 cm. During a seated row, the user sits in front of the frame, while for a lat pulldown, they extend their arms above it. Make sure to account for this clearance around each station.
Ceiling height
The Steelflex jungle gyms are 221 to 224 cm high. Measure the clear height up to the lowest beam, light fixture, or pipe, not just the ceiling. For a cable tower, the height of the top arm also matters: for the Marbo Midi Tower, this is 230 cm.
Weight and floor load
The JG2000 weighs 481 kg, the JG4000 740 kg, the JG5000 980 kg, and the JG8000 1,498 kg. If the equipment is being placed on an upper floor, have the load-bearing capacity of the floor checked in advance.
Weight stack increments
Do not just look at how heavy a stack is, but also at the increments in which you build up the weight. The JG2000 goes up in 4.54 kg plates. UpForm uses 7.5 kg plates and a 3.75 kg half plate, allowing for finer adjustments.
Build quality and adjustability
Steelflex is built with 11-gauge carbon steel in 50 x 100 mm oval tubing and cables with a tensile strength of 950 kg. The Marbo Professional Line complies with PN-EN 957-4:2007, class S for commercial use. On the HG2510, you can adjust the backrest in 8 positions, the press arm to 10 angles, and the cable arms in 12 positions.
Showroom tip: leave a clear aisle between two training zones for people passing by. In our free 3D design, we include these zones and pathways before anything is even delivered.
Which strength station for whom?
- At home: if you train alone, a home gym station like the HG2510 is sufficient. The leg press is included, so you do not need a separate leg machine. Find more inspiration under setting up your home gym.
- PT studio: you often work with two or three clients at the same time. A cable tower with dual stations, such as the UpForm Mini Tower, allows them to train side by side using less floor space than separate machines. See also fitness equipment for personal trainers.
- Hotel and corporate gym: people train without supervision and often at the same time. Choose a jungle gym with a dedicated stack per station and a protective shroud, such as the JG4000 or JG5000. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a multigym and a power rack?
A multigym uses weight stacks and fixed movement paths, whereas a power rack is designed for free weights with a barbell. A multigym is more accessible for beginners, while a rack offers more freedom for heavy squats and deadlifts.
What is a jungle gym?
A jungle gym is a strength station with multiple stations built around a single frame, each with its own weight stack. For example, the JG4000 combines a lat pulldown, a seated row, a triceps station, and a cable column.
How do you maintain a multigym?
Vacuum regularly under the protective covers, lubricate the guide rods of the stacks, and check all cables at least once a year. If you suddenly hear an unusual sound, stop and have the machine inspected.
Is a multigym delivered assembled?
Yes, if you request installation: the machine arrives in parts and our own team assembles it on-site, including the removal of packaging. This costs between € 75 and approximately € 350 per machine, depending on the size. For a complete gym with flooring, tracks, and mirrors, you can count on 10 to 15% of the total outfitting cost. Delivery in the Benelux region is free from € 199 and you have a 30-day reflection period.
What warranty do you get on a strength station?
You get a 3-year warranty on the Martech HG2510, and a lifetime warranty on the frame; Fitnessdepot is the exclusive distributor of Martech in the Benelux region. A standard 2-year warranty applies to the other brands.
Can I see a strength station beforehand?
All models can be viewed and tested in our showroom in Ranst. You are welcome to drop by from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Saturday, it is possible from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, or you can make an appointment.
