Why this model? It’s the only freestanding Smith machine, priced at €1,495. If you want cable machines as well, the Martech M6 (€3,750) combines a Smith machine, a half rack, and a cable station in a single frame.

Body-Solid Series 7 Smith Machine GS348QB
The Body-Solid Series 7 Smith Machine (GS348QB) is a Smith machine and free-weight station combined in a single frame. Both the guided Smith bar and the free barbell rack are set at a 7° angle. As a result, the bar follows a more natural path of movement during upper- and lower-body exercises than on a traditional, perfectly vertical Smith machine. The machine combines the benefits of a Smith machine, a half rack, and a multi-station in a single compact setup.
Train heavy and safely, even without a spotter
The Smith bar runs on linear ball bearings and can be locked into place at 20 different positions. A quick 15° turn of the bar is all it takes to secure it safely at any point during the movement. Adjustable safety stops are also provided for both the Smith bar and the free weight area. This allows you to train safely on your own.

In addition to the Smith bar, the Series 7 features a free-weight rack with 14 positions for removing and returning the bar. This rack is also angled at 7°, ensuring that removing and returning the bar is smooth and predictable. The extra-heavy safety arms are 43 cm long.
