Why this model? It is the only SkiErg in our range. If you combine it with a RowErg (€ 1,195) or BikeErg (€ 1,399), you can keep track of everything in the same Concept2 logbook.
Space and ceiling: 54 x 49 x 125 cm when wall-mounted. Choose a sturdy wall and leave enough space above and behind you for the arm movement.

Product description
The Concept2 SkiErg is a full-body cardio machine that brings the poling movement of cross-country skiing indoors. Originally developed as a training tool for professional cross-country skiers, it has since become a staple in CrossFit boxes, physiotherapy practices, military training centers, and commercial gyms worldwide, as few machines engage so many muscle groups simultaneously in such a compact form. With every pull, you activate your legs, core, arms, lats, and shoulders, making the SkiErg one of the most demanding workouts in the fitness world, adaptable to any level.
The machine simulates the skiing motion using two techniques: the double-pole technique (both arms simultaneously, for explosive power) and the classic alternating technique (arms taking turns, for endurance training and coordination). This allows you to combine strength and endurance in a single exercise.
The resistance comes from a fan flywheel, the same air resistance system used in the world-renowned Concept2 rowers. This makes the load infinitely scalable: the harder you pull, the more resistance you get. There are no levels to set, as your effort determines the intensity, allowing both a beginner and a top athlete to train on the same machine. The damper on the side adjusts the pull feel, comparable to gears on a bicycle. Instead of chains or belts, the drive system uses high-strength cords that are stronger than steel yet much lighter, ensuring a smooth, direct response without mechanical loss.
At the top is the PM5 Performance Monitor, the same monitor found on Concept2 rowers. It displays your pace, watts, distance, calories, and number of pulls in real time, includes preset and customizable workouts, and logs your results via USB. You can connect heart rate monitors and fitness apps via Bluetooth Smart and ANT+, and use the free ErgData app to automatically synchronize your sessions with the Concept2 Online Logbook, including rankings and challenges. The PM5 runs on two D-cell batteries in standby mode and is powered by the machine itself during your workout, requiring no wall outlet or cables.
Because the movement is smooth and continuous, the SkiErg places minimal strain on your joints. This makes it suitable for injury recovery, upper body training for those with lower limb limitations, and users with joint issues looking for an alternative to the treadmill. The machine can also be used while seated.
You have two setup options: wall mounting as the most compact solution for small spaces or gyms with multiple SkiErgs, or the separately available Floor Stand with an anti-slip deck and transport wheels that makes the machine mobile. Installation is simple, and the required tools are included.
Suitable for: CrossFit boxes, physiotherapy and rehabilitation practices, commercial gyms, military training, and serious home fitness enthusiasts looking for a single machine for a complete strength and cardio workout.
